| Television Misc and News | What Viewing Mode On or Auto for Sony 40 XBR800? | Conrad | 9 | 2002-11-30 16:44 | | First 650 characters of this post | Hi I have owned my 40 XBR for approx. 2 months now and have watched many DVD\'s. What I am wondering is what mode or setting do the other 40XBR800 owners prefer to watch their anamorphic DVD\'S in.
The options in settings are ON or Auto. I find myself swtiching mostly to the ON settings hence in the 16x9 mode. I do this because I have heard that this is the best possible quality picture do watch your movies in. Because the movie is only scanned within the picture. IS this true or not? I have tested the Auto mode and I noticed the picture is still 16x9 but approx 25% bigger. | | Television Configuration | Quality of Sony KV40 XBR700? | Conrad | 2 | 2001-09-26 18:13 | | First 650 characters of this post | I am curious if any one can give my some information on how great the picture
qualtiy on cable and DVD is? Has anyone seen one yet in Canada or any where else
yet. Any information on this set greatly appreciated, as I would love to hear about it
before I spend all my hard earned $$$$ on it. Is this TV worth the monies? Is it the
exact same TV as XBR450 but bigger? |
