Does anyone know if there is a way to un-do a delete/retrieve lost data from a memory stick?

I selected 30 photos to delete, and for some reason the memory stick decided to wipe out all 300 instead. Needless to say I am distraught. I think those photos are gone for good, in which case I will go cry another hour and then be more careful in the future, but on the off chance they are retrievable . . . I appreciate anyones help.
