    im wondering if anyone can help

    i have a  sony grand vega kf-42sx300u and evertime i goto turn the tv on the green and red light flash and dosent turn on. i have ordered a new bulb but not sure if thats what the problem will be. anyone know what it can be??

    The lamp unit is a real possibility.

    If you already ordered one, why you don't wait if this fixes the problem?

    help replaced the lamp tv worked for 2 days now does not power up . only orange/amber light on does not power up.

    Reset of the lamp hours is not necessary for the operation of the set; it's only an indication how long the lamp has been used. I don't know it 100% sure, but I think there is a software error for the lamp timer readout for this chassis, so don't bother the value you see there.

    As far as I remember, the LED lights orange when the set is "switched off" by means of the power switch on the TV. When in standby it lights red and during operation it lights green. During startup, the led blinks in green.

    thanx mbt_junkyard strange as it seems i reset the tv with holding standby button on remote and held button in at same time on tv all up and running again.

    Glad your TV is up and running again. I think that only hitting the power button in the middle of your TV was the only thing what was needed.
