Hello, I have own this TV for exactly 5 yrs and when turning it on, the red light on front of the TV blinks 6 times, stops and continues in this pattern. I unplugged the TV and got it to work for a week but now it won't reset. Please help!
Sincerely,
David

Welcome to Agoraquest! For the KV30XBR910, 6 blinks, pause, 6 blinks, etc. means "LOW +B OCP/OVP (overcurrent/overvoltage)" and the probable cause locations listed are as follows:
1. +5 line is overloaded (A, B, M boards) 2. +5 line is shorted (A, B, M boards) 3. IC504 is faulty (A board)
These are starting points for a qualified service technician.
Although not listed, D board failures are the most common problems. You may request the "D board circuit failures/KV30XBR910, KV34XBR910" information package by sending me (jehill) a private message with your request and including your email address. For more infomation, go to the "Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum.

Just send me (jehill) a private message (PM) as described in the Frequently Asked Questions for Sony Products" forum and I can email you the "D board circuit failures/KV30XBR910, KV34XBR910" information package and we can start a dialog, if needed.

anyone ever consider a class-action against SONY for the D Board issues. Seems like a whole mess of folks would qualify to be "on board" from what I can see, HA!
