Anyone know the advanced/discrete code to be programmed into a universal remote for the video 4 input on a 27" Wega KV-27FS12? I already checked remotecentral.com and the codes that they have for the Sony TV doesn't work for Video input 4 on my 27".

Yes the Wegas have discrete codes. I'm using discrete codes for Video 1-3 inputs on my KV-27FS12 and i'm also using a discrete code for Power Off. I just need to know if a discrete code exists for Video 4 (component input) for my Wega.

Discrete codes mean instead of pressing video 3 times to switch from dvd to your receiver you can instantly choose the correct input
This becomes EXTREMLY usefull when using a remote that has macros. You can program a button that will turn on the receiver, the dvd and the wega and then the tv is automatically switched to the correct input.

Really? I was searching on the remote centrak website that lists codes for different models and none of the wega series was listed. I asked a few times in the forums and no one could give me and answer. I used to have a 36fv15 and this is one of the things that bugged me about it.
What hardware are you using?

I'm not able to use a Video4 discrete code for my Wega 27", instead I made a macro which sequences the Video3 code followed by the TV/Video code. Try this, hope it helps.

doobu,
you would have to say what universal remote you are using before you can get the code.

If it is a pronto try this.
Cut and paste this code for vid 4:
0000 0067 0000 000d 0060 0019 0030 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0019 0018 0018 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0019 0018 0018 0018 03f4
Let us know if it works.
Good luck.
