A little like looking at my own setup-same TV, same stand, same color walls and same color carpet. Cool!

Toli, when are you going to post your home theater pics?  You gotta love the TV, it's great!

For Over-The-Air high definition broadcasts, I'm using the Samsung SIR-T351 receiver.  I simply bought an outdoor antenna, wired the coaxial cable to it, and use a DVI out to my GW III.  I have regular Comcast cable going directly into my GW III set.

qooldude- I got two reasons for not doing that: 1. I see how nice some peoples setups are-and that makes me a little hesitant.  2. I don't have a digital camera-I suppose I could borrow one, so I guess that's no excuse.

IMHO, for the money, this TV is the best picture-for-dollar TV out there-LOVE IT!

BrianBBY- It's a Sony KF-50WE610, an LCD rear projection TV. But, this TV is Sony's third generation Grand Wega (GWIII), and this technology is more known as LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon).

    qooldude,

Very clean set up. Picture quality is astonishing. Nice setup. Do you remember if that football game on ABC was in HD?

    Duncan,

The KF-50WE610 50 can generally be purchased in the $3,000(US) area. I have seen them as low as $2,689 on line.

That seems pretty resonable for its size and quality (especially at the current exchange rate ), at least against UK priced RPTVs.

Thanks for your feedback!  Greatly appreciated!

jttar, that was a Monday Night Football broadcast in HD although I don't quite remember which game.

I forgot that I could freeze the broadcast to take the picture.  I would have to say that MNF is one of the clearest broadcasts I've ever seen.  The picture is stunning and worth every penny I spent on it.

The PBS broadcast in HD is equally stunning.  That sounds weird since they show flowers and landscapes and such but you'll be mesmerized if you saw it in HD.  You'll never want to go back to standard definition again.

    qooldude,

I thought that the game was in HD and was wondering if you did freeze the screen to take the pic. I agree the PBS broadcasts in HD are stunning. When they take aerial shots from a plane and show the top of the tree's or mountains the picture has so much depth. Real eye candy. I look forward to having everything in HD as your right going back to SD is a let down.

If you have a pic..say a .jpg from a digital camera or scanner you can just drag and drop it in as you compose your post from your computer.

Greetings Toronto365, I was born in Scarborough.

jttar, the aerial shots in HD are absolutely mesermizing.  I mean, they're nothing special but I can just stare at them all day since they're so crystal clear.

I'm hope there will be more HD channels and I wonder if Xoom is any good.

What is everyone else using for their HD broadcast (cable, OTA or satellite)?

I miss falling on my ass from the icy sidewalks.

Toronto365, You look like you have a nice, brand new home.  Nice home theater too!

Toli, where's your home theater pic?  We have to stand up and represent the 50WE610 owners.
