NEW ORLEANS (ACS Booth #1025) Sony Electronics today unveiled a new medical-grade flat panel monitor offering high brightness, digital quality and distortion-free viewing from virtually any angle.
The new LMD-151MD flat panel monitor is a component in Sony’s “Digital Video Operating Room” concept that encompasses a product line designed to improve image acquisition and management. “With space at a premium in today’s medical facilities, flat panel monitors enable physicians to view digital pictures in much less space,” said Steven Blum, vice president of medical systems for Sony Electronics’ Broadcast and Professional Company. “The new monitor displays all vital life signs in real-time via a graphic or data display, including heart rate, blood pressure and respiration. Medical practitioners can monitor the patients vital signs from anywhere in the room.”
The monitor offers a high brightness and resolution, making it easy for physicians and nurses to review and analyze patient data. It is designed only to accept computer signals and to support the high-quality imaging technology needed in medical facilities.
The new medical grade flat panel monitor is 393 (w) x 338 (h) x114 (d) mm, weighs 12 lbs, and uses less than 40 watts of power.
The LMD-151MD medical grade flat panel monitor will be available in December for a suggested list price of $1999.
