Sony Announces Historic “No Payment, 0% Financing” Program

Sony Electronics today announced that effective immediately it is making available a highly flexible and comprehensive “No Payment, 0% Financing Program” to all existing and new customers on a broad range of Sony professional products. Under the program, customers can defer all costs until January 2003 and interest payments on products of $2,000 or more purchased by March 29, 2002.
“Sony built its reputation on two pillars: its commitment to manufacturing the highest quality products, and its commitment to its customers to help them integrate these products into their business solutions,” said John Scarcella, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Sony Electronics’ Broadcast and Professional Company (BPC). “This historic new payment program demonstrates how Sony’s continuing commitment to its customers in a challenging economy. It provides them with a plan to defer costs without having to defer their migration to more efficient ways of doing business with Sony products.”

From now until March 29, 2002, customers can purchase a broad range of Sony BPC products through financing offered by Sony Financial Services LLC and make no payments with any interest until January 1, 2003. Once a customer is approved for the program by Sony Financial Services, the purchased product(s) will ship to the customer and the “No Payment/No Interest” period will begin.

The program spans a broad range of Sony equipment, including popular models of HDCAM and DVCAM cameras, VTR’s, display monitors, projectors, security equipment, data systems products, digital disk recorders, video conferencing equipment, digital photography products, and pro-audio products.
