If you decided to forgo the maddening crowds on Black Friday, you can still snap up some great deals today from the comfort of your cubicle, home office, or kitchen table.

The NRF’s event is meant to officially kick off the online shopping season, and an estimated 90 percent of leading online retailers plan on offering discounts or free shipping today. That includes some of the major retailers and players in tech.

I’ve scoured the Web looking for the best deals and have put together this handy list of the top, and freshest, deals being offered today. But before you check out the list below, you might want to check out our Cyber Monday shopping primer from last year. It has lots of handy advice that’s still relevant today. Hold onto your hats, because Sony Style is giving away the 120GB PlayStation 3 for free with select Sony Bravia HDTVs. The best deal I found was the Sony Bravia Z 52-inch bundle for $1980, and the cheapest deal was the Sony Bravia W 46-inch TV with the PS3 for $1350. Both sets are LCD 1080p HDTVs.

Amazon.com

Not to be outdone by its own Black Friday deals, Amazon is continuing its Lightning section for Cyber Monday. You can get Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for $30.00 for Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 until 11 a.m. ET. Another upcoming lightning deal to keep your eye on is a 15.6-inch Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop. The computer is scheduled to go on sale at 9 a.m. ET, and the price will be announced at that time.

Amazon is also offering a second generation (not the newest model) 8GB iPod Touch for $158.00, a Slingbox Pro HD SB300-100 for $230 and tons of low-priced CDs, DVDs and video games.

Best Buy

The big box store’s Cyber Monday deals include an Acer Aspire One laptop with a 15.6-inch screen, AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core 1.2GHz processor, 4GB RAM and a 320GB hard drive.

Save between $10 and $35 on Apple’s iPod lineup. The best deal of the bunch is a current model 32GB iPod Touch for $270 — a $30 savings. Xbox 360 gamers can pick up Halo 3: ODST or Forza Motorsport 3 plus a 12-month Xbox Live subscription card for $73 — a $40 savings. You can also get a 46-inch Samsung LCD 1080p 60Hz HDTV for $798 or a 58-inch Samsung 600Hz 1080p plasma for $1940.

Wal-Mart

Forget about Cyber Monday, Wal-Mart is kicking off its now annual Cyber Week with online sale prices valid until December 4 while supplies last. Wally World has a Nintendo Wii bundle for $249. You get the Nintendo Wii console with Wii Sports game, Dreamgear 3-in-1 player’s sport kit, one Wii Nunchuk Controller, one Wii remote wand from Nyko and one game from a list of 31 titles including Alien Syndrome, Resident Evil 4, LEGO Star Wars: Complete Saga.

You can also get a PlayStation 3 bundle for $369 including the console, two video games (inFamous and Batman Arkham Asylum), The Dark Knight on Blu-ray, Sony Blu-ray Remote, and an additional controller.

Another hot deal from the big box retailer is an 8GB iPod Nano (video camera model) bundle for $145 — Apple sells the device for $149. Wal-Mart’s package includes the iPod and an 11-in-1 accessory kit, which includes wall and car chargers, and various connector cables.

You can also get a 46-inch Sony Bravia 1080p LCD HDTV for $848 and a 12 mega-pixel Kodak EasyShare bundle for $89 including the camera, carrying case and 4GB SDHC card.

Fine Print Alert: Choose your Wii and iPod Nano bundles carefully, because the retailer offers you tempting options on the same page as your Bundle choices that will take you over budget.
