on Sunday, August 29, 2010 @ 12:09:41 CDT (247 reads)
Sony recently unveiled a new Move demo video showing off some technical applications as well as never before seen demonstrations. Its interesting to see the wide array of applications the tech can be used for.
Up on the official Playstation Blog, Anton Mikhailov who is one of the lead engineers for the Move gave a lengthy tech demonstration of the tech. Anton gained a bit of fame last year at E3 when he stepped out to demonstrate the Move with Dr. Richard Marks, manager of special projects at Sony R&D.
Most of the stuff shown in the video has been demonstrated before. However, things do get a bit interesting near the middle to end of the demo.

: Sony unleashes single wire interface technology for mobile phones
Posted by
claudio
on Sunday, August 22, 2010 @ 08:41:02 CDT (259 reads)
The varied sizes and shape of mobile phones appears to eventually damage the internal wiring of connections. Catering to this problem, Sony has pulled the wraps off its new single wire interface technology for mobile phones. This tool transmits data and power supply via a solo cable which is enhanced with design flexibility and reliability alongside working mechanisms.
This advanced technology streamlines the internal wiring of mobile devices into a single copper wire. Earlier, handsets were integrated with an array of cable wires that transmitted powers of video, audio and control signals.

Sony have announced details of two new 3D enabled LED TVs, the NX713 and NX813, due for release late 2010.
The Full HD screens both require a 3D sync transmitter and glasses for the extra dimensional experience; for consumers who want to future proof their screens and maybe watch 3D at a later date.
