What game are you trying to play? I bought a $5 usb keyboard from microcenter and so far I have had no problems with it in the following games:

GameShark v2/3
SOCOM : US Navy Seals
AutoModelista
Midnight Club Racing II

EijiKun I tried playing socom navy seal. I know there is nothing wrong with the keyboard cause it work for my pc. Could it be the PS2?

I don't think so. What you can try is this:

with the ps2 off, plug the keyboard into the top usb port. Then load your game into the ps2. As the game loads, look at the num lock light of the keyboard if you see it flash on then off then the keyboard has been recognized by the system. If not then the keyboard is probably not supported by the Sony PS2. I recommend looking for a cheap usb keyboard (not more than $10) and trying that out. The action replay keyboard is $29.99 and can be picked up at Bestbuy, but it's too pricey.

Other than that, I don't know why it doesn't recognize your usb keyboard. You can buy a converternow that will convert any standard ps/2 keyboard to usb so you might also try that route.
