I've had problems all day with AVG anti-virus 7.0 Update---the update starts then the connection is interrupted. I know that AVG released the new 7.1 today so maybe they're having overload problems. Anyone else having update problems?

dragon53,
You are not alone. I have my AVG 7.0 set to update automatically. After reading your post I tried to update manually and got the error message that the requested file cannot be found on the update server. Hmmm? I wil give it a couple of days to sort it self out before I check into it deeper. Perhaps we wil have to update to 7.1

dragon53,
Give the update another try. Mine is working fine of as tonight. I did check the version number after the update and it now reads version 7.0.344
Not quite 7.1 but it is trying to get there.
I believe that it was just a glitch over at AVG's site. If your still having trouble let me know.

JTTAR, ET AL:
I'm having AVG 7.1 automatic update problems again. The automatic updates were working fine until a few weeks ago; now they've stopped. I've tried manual updating, but that doesn't work either.
I know AVG has hadserver problems in the past, but after several weeks, I'm beginning to wonder if the problem is something else.
Are you having auto update problems too?

dragon53,
AVG must be having a problem with their server again but they have been working as recent as last night.
I know that my computer did the auto update last night but after reading your post I tried to do an update and it just sat there. I will try again later and post back to this thread when it's back working.
BTW, I am running version 7.1.375

dragon53,
As I was perusing this site AVG just now popped up and did it's auto update so it is working.
If your still having problems perhaps one of the AVG files somehow got corrupted. You could always go through Control Panel/Add Remove Programs, un-install AVG, re-boot and then go and downlownload and install the newest version HERE.
Let me know how it goes.
