dvps-7700, tan90es, and ga9 esg receiver combo. best way to hook up the dvd player for best results.

I have a tan90es amp coupled to a ga9esg receiver and would like to know the best way to hook up the recently purchaced dvp-s7700 dvd player to get the best results. I know the ga9 is only dolby pro logic. Do i need to get a outbourd digital processor?

Hi yiari, welcome to Agoraquest. If you want Dolby-Digital Surround, you'll have to get an outboard digital processor that can function as a pre or a newer receiver that has both DD surround and pre-amp outs so you can keep using your TA-N90ES. If you're just using your 'S7700 for it's audio capabilities, it becomes much simpler.
