It seems to me I did alot more listening to music from my system in my 20s than I do now.If I can't do some critical listening on it I just pass. And since I have soooo many channels now it seems I'm always looking for something on TV. It's a "I pay for them I should watch them" mentality.
I know the reason for my lack of radio listening now. I'm just not into the new stuff coming out and why listen to oldies and be at the mercy of the programming director when I can just load what I want to hear myself.
Often times I find myself wondering if it's worth it given how little time I spend listening to music on it. Especially when I consider an upgrade like I am with new speakers for the mains. Oftentimes I think maybe I should concentrate more on the AV rather than the music aspects of my kit. I'm thinking that what I really should do is just start making my system "earn it's keep" on music by using it for background. Insult or no. I could still do critical listening on it. That is whenever I find the time._mykl
