I did some minor changes with my setup, specifically replacing my Sony KV-27S66 with a Sony PVM-2950Q Trinitron video monitor as well as adding a Sony PVM-2530 as a backup.

I also found stands to elevate the loudspeakers to a higher position.

I also added another LaserDisc player as a supplement to my main LD player: a Pioneer LD-660, which is a top-loading HeNe gas tube player.  It's perfect for playing some older discs that may not play as well as they should on my Pioneer DVL-700.

And here's my turntable, cassette deck, and CD player.

On the turntable, I was spinning some Mozart.

I had also done a modification to my Sega Genesis by adding an s-video output.  The video is crisp and clear and just looks brilliant on my Sony PVMs.

I also migrated a lot of my video game systems over to s-video.

The only systems not on s-video because they have no ability to output video that way, aside from my VCRs, are my NES, CD-i, the Pioneer LD-660, and my RCA SGT-250.

I've been tempted to find a different set of speakers for my surrounds and possibly even the center channel.

Forgot to add my equipment complement:

Love it! Brilliant style to it as well.
I remember wanting those Mach 3's when I was a teenager so badly.I was making very little money at the time so I opted for a 2-way 12" pair of Optimus 60watters that were on clearance.$50 for the pair back in 1990 or so.Unfortunately after many party's they bit the dust by 1996.I was using a very old JVC reciever that my uncle gave me that had a nice 5 band EQ but it would clip easily if I didn't be careful. That's how I lost the speakers.

Hello Reinhart,

Great system! That is quite the Sony collection. I don't think that you could squeeze another component in sideways.
After seeing that first picture, you are a prime candidate for a nice Harmony universal remote although I am sure that you can grab just the one you want when you need it.

Thanks for taking the time to take the pics and giving us a look into the Reinhart Home Theater it was fun to look at because there is so much to see.

Well, I could squeeze an XBox 360 and a slim PS-3 in there.

UPDATES (with some pictures)....

There have been some changes in my system.

A PlayStation 3, an XBox 360, another Sega Genesis with a 32x and Sega CD attachments, and a Pioneer CLD-A100 LaserActive with a Sega Genesis/Sega CD PAC-S10 module have been added.

The PVM-2950Q was removed from service and the PVM-2530 is the primary monitor with no secondary monitor.

I've made another change on my small home theater system.

I changed up the VCRs.  I removed the SVO-160 and replaced my SL-2710 with an SL-HF900.

Amen to that. Sad little man.

Reinhart, I really like your collection, lots of cool vintage gear!

And you have got to love the remote overload on the coffee table
