Mykyll2727,

thank you very much for your kind words. Sony SS-XxxED speakers are really something. They look fantastic, but they sound even better. I am very lucky that I have them.

Systems are working great, I enjoy them every day, and you're absolutely right, my home is filled with sonic bliss.
I just want one or two TA-DA9000ES, and than I'm done .

Danijel_TWO TA-DA9000ES!! You are a greedy fellow. Just kidding. I have a STR-DA9000ES and I'm sure the TA-DA9000ES will sound wonderful with the other great gear you have. I think you're going to be in love hearing iLink thru it and your SS-XxxED speakers. Unfortunately my 9000ES is no longer functioning 100% and I'm unable to get a fix for it as the part is no longer available but I wish you all the best of luck in acquiring your TWO TA-DA9000ES. Please keep us posted and thanks again for sharing the pics of your terrific setups._mykl

Hi Mykl,

thanks again for your kind words. I know that I'll be in love with the DA9000ES, just like you was.

I am VERY sorry to hear that your great DA9000ES is no longer functioning 100% and that you're unable to get a fix for it   .

Best regards,
Danijel

Danijel_Thanks for the words of kindness and sympathy. Yes I was heartbroken when my 9kES developed problems. ILink and it's preouts have stopped working. All else works fine though, so I've placed in the bedroom. It replaced the STR-DA3000ES I had there. My bedroom system's electronics are now the same as what I had in my main system for years. The DA9kES, a DVP-NC555ES, DVP-NS9100ES, RCD-W2000ES, (2) Kenwood cassette decks and a Pioneer DVR/VCR deck. (All silver BTW. I love silver elctronics ). It's quite a bedroom system.

When you get your DA9000ES please let us know and give us your assessment of it's performance. I'd love to hear what you think of it driving your XxxEDs._mykl

Hi Mykl,

you sure have quite a bedroom system .  You can say that I love silver electronics too .

I can't believe that of all things that's possible to stop working on your DA9000ES, it had to be i.Link . And preouts too, I know that you were using them  . I guess that's Murphy's law at it's worst in practice.

I would like to know how would DA9000ES sing when paired with my speakers, too.

Danijel

Danijel_Those are the only things that I've found that aren't working everything else seems to be fine. If it had only been iLink I would've kept it in the main system. But without pre-outs it meant that my power amp was going unused. The amp is just far too expensive a unit to simply sit around collecting dust. So with a very heavy heart I was forced to replace the DA9000ES.

When you get your DA9000ES' you'll just have to let us know what you think of the sound._mykl

Hi Mykl,

of course that I'll let you to know what I think of the sound of the DA9000ES, as soon as I get one. But they are rare, and even more rare in silver colour here in Europe. The money for it is here, and I'm waiting to find and to buy one :-D

Regards,

Danijel

The color thing is ironic. Here it was only available in silver. I can understand the rarity. They are very rare here too. I must admit I sorely miss seeing that big, silver beauty in my main system. I think I always will. It's a very special piece.

Good luck with the hunt!!_mykl
