Hi
I upgraded my antenna today for my local OTA channels. I purchased this model http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103087&cp=2032057.2032187.2032189.2032205&allCount=15&fbn=Price%2F%2450.00+-+%2499.99&fbc=1&fr=StorePrice%2FRSK%2F00005000%2F00009999&parentPage=family
1 1/2 assembly and adjustments. " Mounts on roof VHF range: 190 miles UHF range: 100 miles FM range: 100 miles". So far my reception has been great and it is windy. I hope to receive the rotator I purchased by the weekend. I will install and update.

lemon,

Wow! That is quite the antenna. Once you  get the rotator I wouldn't be surprised that pointing the antenna North East you would pick up the local HD channels here in Chicago. It should be fun to see just how far of a radius you can receive with your new antenna.

Hi

I have been wrestling with my DT HD DVR and reception. I learned something very interesting today. After multiple trips up on my roof, all new video cables. I think I found 1 of my problems. I was running my video signals through my Monster Hts 3600. http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=3259
Click on more images to see the back.
I am now running the video cable direct the DT HR10-250. I have a great signal. I will update if I learn anything else.

Lemon,

Is your theory that your Monster HTS3600 was attenuating the signal from your new OTA antenna?

Glad to hear that you solved the problem and are getting a great signal. Are you receiving other HD stations besides your locals with that behemoth antenna?

Yes.  I don't understand "Are you receiving other HD stations besides your locals with that behemoth antenna?"
I am sure I could pick a channel between 1 - 69 here in Mpls. 1 - 45 and tune in a network station from farther away.  Why would I want to?  Are there hidden channels or signal I could receive?

Thanks
