Hi!

I have never ever had a glimce of trouble with my lovely CDP-X55ES since it was brand new out of the package - until now...

It is not a big problem; but I would really want to solve it:

The variable line out with I can control both on the unit and from the remot control has started to give some irritation noise when I adjust the level... mostly when I reach maximum level...

How to solve this - is it just to use it more often or should I try to put some electronic spray on the small motor potentiometer?

I don't know the solution to this, but I've had a similar problem with my X55. Although I don't use the variable outputs, I use the headphone jack at times and get the same thing. Lots of harsh noise only while turning the volume up. I have always used the fixed outputs and optical outputs, so it hasn't been a huge deal for me, but I'm interested in people's feedback.

Sounds to me like the volume pot needs a spritz of Caig Deoxit.

Sound like a very welcome solution - I´m not sure I can find that product here in Sweden, what kind of product should I check for to find any similiar?

Thanx!

I think any contact or pot cleaner will work.
