Welcome to Agoraquest!  You will need the service manual to determine that.  Send x2bc4 a private message (PM).  He may be able to provide you with the service manual.  Go to the bottom of the left column and click Inbox.  Click SEND.  Enter x2bc4 for To:  Tell him what your need.

I too have a dvd s800 with above fault and found that the loading motor was sticky so replkaced it but still got the error code. Before running it over with the car, I found this site and what can I say but thanks, the mod works well. and the transistor I found at a company called SEME @ £4.95 + or CPC for a staggaring £1.26+.
Kind regards Nick

Dear all sony c-81 sufferers, (this is my first ever forum of any kind as you can see! ), firstly I must offer my huge thanks especially to jehill (absolute Sony King) for the info on repairing the Q002 fault. Secondly I must blast the 'great' Sony Corporation for their apparent complete disregard for their faithful customers. They **must** have known about this inherent design fault with the equipment which utilises this circuit, but as can be seen by the forum postings, they choose to ignore us. My DAV-800 did not even out live the finance agreement!. I managed to get the transistor from Donegal, Ireland for 55p. Chrisb-uk was right about the 2SB1375 being obsolete and the 2SB1274 is a good replacement.
Again thanks to all and thanks to this site.
Regards,
Tim.

Assuming that you want the US version of the power supply, the part number is A-4726-912-A.  You can order it at http://servicesales.sel.sony.com/web/productSearch.do for $134.38.  Click Part or Accessory Number and search for a4726912a.
