No to me taking a shower with him. No to letting him watch me take a shower. No to letting him give me a massage. No to letting a naked friend of his give me a massage. No to letting him give me oral sex. No to my getting naked with another woman. No, no, no, no, no...The range of his persuasion tactics went from sweet-talking me to that one time when, in an attack of fury, he said the terrifying words, 'I will kill you, don't think I can't.' "
After she refused, he demanded to have more sex in the movie, “He had been constantly asking for more skin, for more sex. Once before, Julie Taymor got him to settle for a tango ending in a kiss instead of the lovemaking scene he wanted us to shoot between the character Tina Modotti, played by Ashley Judd, and Frida.
I arrived on the set the day we were to shoot the scene that I believed would save the movie. And for the first and last time in my career, I had a nervous breakdown: My body began to shake uncontrollably, my breath was short and I began to cry and cry, unable to stop, as if I were throwing up tears.
Since those around me had no knowledge of my history of Harvey, they were very surprised by my struggle that morning. It was not because I would be naked with another woman. It was because I would be naked with her for Harvey Weinstein. But I could not tell them then.”

It was the first time I had ever seen a naked man. I was mortified. I didn't know what to do. And he milked it. He milked the fact that he was naked. He stood there. He took his time."
Melissa Kester claimed Hoffman sexually assaulted her during a recording session for ISHTAR, "[Hoffman] literally just stuck his fingers down my pants. He put his fingers inside me. And the thing I feel most bad about is I didn't know what to do. I just stood there. I just froze in the situation like 'Oh my god, what is happening?' It's shocking when that happens to you."
She said he kept his fingers inside her for 15-20 seconds. "He kind of laughed. Then I just ran out of there, and I sat in the bathroom crying. I thought, 'Oh my God.' I felt like I'd been raped. There was no warning. I didn't know he would do that."
An anonymous actress who was also in ISHTAR, said she was in a car with Hoffman when he, "just took his hand and stuck his fingers right up inside of [her]. I didn't know what to do. SEX SCANDALS---Peter Jackson said Mira Sorvino and Ashley Judd were blacklisted by producer Harvey Weinstein and were removed from a list of candidates for THE LORD OF THE RINGS after Weinstein's Miramax told him the actresses were, “a nightmare to work with and we should avoid them at all costs”. Sorvino and Judd have accused Weinstein of sexually harassing them.
Jackson said, “At the time, we had no reason to question what these guys were telling us ― but in hindsight, I realize that this was very likely the Miramax smear campaign in full swing. I now suspect we were fed false information about both of these talented women ― and as a direct result their names were removed from our casting list.”
Sorvino tweeted, "Just seeing this after I awoke, I burst out crying. There it is, confirmation that Harvey Weinstein derailed my career, something I suspected but was unsure. Thank you Peter Jackson for being honest. I’m just heartsick"
Judd also tweeted her reply, "Peter & Fran had me in - showed me all the creative, the boards, costumes, everything. They asked which if the two roles I preferred, and then I abruptly never heard from [t]hem again. I appreciate the truth coming out. Thank you, Peter."

Remove it from canon, push back Episode IX and re-make Episode VIII properly to redeem Luke Skywalker's legacy, integrity, and character."

MAN OF STEEL 2---Mark Millar said he talked with Matthew Vaughn (KINGSMAN) about reuniting for the MAN OF STEEL sequel, “He and I are massive Superman fans...we worship Richard Donner. We love the Christopher Reeve movies. He actually phoned me up a few months ago, and he said, “Hey, listen, DC, they’re very interested in me doing MAN OF STEEL 2. Do you want to come in and do this?’ And I was like, ‘I’m exclusive to Netflix for years. We can’t even have that conversation.’ And he was like, ‘Oh, man. What’s the chances of this?’ And then he kind of drifted away. And he’s attached himself to a couple of things and all that. Y’know so, it’s one of those things that might, I mean- if somebody phones Matthew up and offers him enough money it could all change tomorrow.”

THE OFFICE---NBC is developing a sequel series which will include old and new cast members, but Steve Carell will not be returning.

STARGATE: ORIGINS---trailer released for the MGM digital series at stargatecommand.com that is a prequel to the 1994 movie that starred Kurt Russell and James Spader.

trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSmSZICmU-M

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI---Rian Johnson commented on negative fan reaction to THE LAST JEDI, “Having been a Star Wars fan my whole life, and having spent most of my life on the other side of the curb and in that fandom, it softens the blow a little bit. I’m aware through my own experience that, first of all, the fans are so passionate, they care so deeply – sometimes they care very violently at me on Twitter.
But it’s because they care about these things, and it hurts when you’re expecting something specific and you don’t get it from something that you love. It always hurts, so I don’t take it personally if a fan reacts negatively and lashes out on me on Twitter. That’s fine. It’s my job to be there for that.
Every fan has a list of stuff they want a Star Wars movie to be and they don’t want a Star Wars movie to be. You’re going to find very few fans out there whose lists line up. And I also know the same way the original movies were personal for Lucas.
Lucas never made a Star Wars movie by sitting down and thinking, ‘What do the fans want to see?’ And I knew if I wrote wondering what the fans would want, as tempting as that is, it wouldn’t work, because people would still be shouting at me, ‘F— you, you ruined Star Wars,’ and I would make a bad movie. And ultimately, that’s the one thing nobody wants.
And let me just add that 80-90% of the reaction I’ve gotten from Twitter has been really lovely. There’s been a lot of joy and love from fans. When I talk about the negative stuff, that’s not the full picture of the fans at all.”

VENOM---creature artist Mikkel Frandsen posted photos which might be Tom Hardy's Venom symbiote suit.

As he learns the often-harsh rules of the jungle, under the tutelage of a bear named Baloo (Andy Serkis) and a panther named Bagheera (Christian Bale), Mowgli becomes accepted by the animals of the jungle as one of their own. All but one: the fearsome tiger Shere Khan (Benedict Cumberbatch). But there may be greater dangers lurking in the jungle, as Mowgli comes face to face with his human origins. The other story’s central animal characters are: Kaa, the snake (Cate Blanchett); the leader of the wolf pack, Akela (Peter Mullan); the scavenging hyena, Tabaqui (Tom Hollander); Nisha, the female wolf (Naomie Harris), who adopts the baby Mowgli as one of her cubs; Nisha’s mate, Vihaan (Eddie Marsan); and Mowgli’s Brother Wolf (Jack Reynor)."

CHAPPAQUIDDICK---trailer released for the movie about Ted Kennedy and the death of Mary Joe Kopechne in 1969.

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTzPXc2DW2k&t=71s

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI---Mark Hamill commented on Rian Johnson's take on Luke Skywalker, “I said to Rian, ‘Jedi’s don’t give up.’ I mean, even if he had a problem, he would maybe take a year to try and regroup. But if he made a mistake, he would try and right that wrong. So, right there we had a fundamental difference, but it’s not my story anymore. It’s somebody else’s story – and Rian needed me to be a certain way to make the ending effective. …That’s the crux of my problem. Luke would never say that. I’m sorry. Well, in this version, see I’m talking about the George Lucas Star Wars. This is the next generation of Star Wars, so I almost had to think of Luke as another character. Maybe he’s Jake Skywalker. He’s not my Luke Skywalker, but I had to do what Rian wanted me to do because it serves the story well.”
Hamill added, “But listen, I still haven’t accepted it completely. But it’s only a movie. I hope people like it. I hope they don’t get upset, and I came to really believe that Rian was the exact man that they need for this job.”
Also, a Survymonkey poll of 4,441 people found that 89% of those polled either loved or liked THE LAST JEDI. Of that 89%, 34% of general movie fans loved the movie, and 63% of STAR WARS fans loved it.
A Rotten Tomatoes spokesperson commented on claims by fans that LAST JEDI's 54% audience score was not authentic, “We have several teams of security, network, and social database experts who constantly monitor reviews and ratings to ensure that they are genuine. They haven’t seen anything unusual with The Last Jedi, except that there has been an uptick in the number of written user reviews submitted.
Aside from that, everything is normal and we don’t see any unusual activity. We looked at The Last Jedi compared to other blockbusters and it has been consistent with those past films. We’ve been working around the clock to get the numbers right.
Authenticity is very important to us. We have security teams, network teams, database teams who work so hard, it’s a little disheartening for them to see people make such [accusatory] claims without knowing the facts.”

Rian Johnson said he thought about bringing back Lando Calrissian as the master codebreaker, “In terms of Lando, I briefly considered — would he work in the Benicio [Del Toro] part. I don’t think you would ever buy that Lando would just completely betray the characters like that and have that level of moral ambiguity. 'Cause we love Lando and you’d come into it with that [expectation]. And also, DJ, the character that they met, for the purposes of Finn’s character, had to be a morally ambiguous character that you’re not sure about, that you’re guessing about, and we already know that we love the character of Lando so it just wouldn’t have played in that part story wise.”

SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY---Paul Bettany commented on the young Han Solo movie, “It’s Han Solo's story, and of course his story would be a caper. On one level it’s a gangster movie. That’s really interesting, because it’s within the canon but really different. It’s f–king Han Solo!”
Bettany said about Ron Howard's reshooting scenes filmed by fired directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, "He reshot a lot more than was originally intended.”

ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD---Ridley Scott said the cast returned for the reshoots with Christopher Plummer replacing sex scandal-plagued Kevin Spacey and did it for free, “Everyone did it for nothing. They all came in for free.”
Michelle Williams, who gave up her Thanksgiving, said, “I just thought that this experience that we had all treasured was going to be essentially flushed down the toilet. I said I’d be wherever they needed me, whenever they needed me. And they could have my salary, they could have my holiday, whatever they wanted. Because I appreciated so much that they were making this massive effort.”

HALLOWEEN---Nick Castle, who played Michael Myers in the original 1978 movie, is returning for the sequel.

BRIGHT 2---Netflix ordered the sequel to the fantasy movie with Will Smith returning. Early reviews of the original movie have not been positive.

HUG CHICKENPENNY: THE PANEGYRIC OF AN ANOMOLOUS CHILD---Jim Henson Company movie underway based on the book by S. Craig Zahler (BONE TOMAHAWK) which tells the story of a deformed young boy who is adopted as a pet by an elderly eccentric.

SEX SCANDALS---producer Gary Goddard (JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, HAIR), who was accused of sexually assaulting Anthony Edwards (TOP GUN) when he was 12 years old, was accused of sexual assaulting seven more men when they were teenagers.
An online petition demands that Matt Damon's cameo be removed from the all-female OCEAN'S 8 after his comments about sexual assaults in the entertainment business, "...if somebody had allegations against them, you know, it would be a case-by-case basis. You go, 'What's the story here?'...We're in this watershed moment, and it's great, but I think one thing that's not being talked about is there are a whole s**tload of guys - the preponderance of men I've worked with - who don't do this kind of thing and whose lives aren't going to be affected."
Sylvester Stallone denied a second woman's claim that he sexually assaulted a woman in his Santa Monica office in 1990. Another woman claimed Stallone forced her to have sex with Stallone and his bodyguard in 1986 when she was 16 years old.
E! fired THE ROYALS showrunner Mark Schwahn after writer Audrey Wauchope accused him of sexual harassment.

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI---with the LAST JEDI grossing over $1 billion, which makes it the top grossing movie of 2017, Walt Disney Pictures has effectively earned back the $4.06 billion it paid to buy Lucasfilm from George Lucas.
The ten STAR WARS movies have grossed $8.55 billion which surpasses the eight HARRY POTTER movies which earned $8.53 billion.
Rian Johnson said Kylo Ren's comments about Rey's parents isn't necessarily definitive, "Anything’s still open, and I’m not writing the next film. [J.J. Abrams and Chris Terrio] are doing it. With all of these movies, Obi-Wan’s whole speech about a certain point of view always applies, so I think that you have to always think about the context of how information is given."
Also, Mark Hamill said his three children had cameos in THE LAST JEDI with Nathan, Griffin, and Chelsea playing Resistance members Saile Minnau, Salaka Kuchimba, and Koo Millham.

SUPERHERO MOVIES---Jodie Foster criticized big-budget movies including superhero movies, “Going to the movies has become like a theme park. Studios making bad content in order to appeal to the masses and shareholders is like fracking – you get the best return right now but you wreck the earth. It’s ruining the viewing habits of the American population and then ultimately the rest of the world. I don’t want to make $200 million movies about superheroes.”
James Gunn replied to Foster's criticism, “I think Foster looks at film in an old-fashioned way where spectacle film can’t be thought-provoking. It’s often true but not always. Her belief system is pretty common and isn’t totally without basis. I say not without basis because most studio franchise films are quite soulless – and that is a real danger to the future of movies. But there are also quite a few exceptions.
For cinema to survive I believe spectacle films NEED to have a vision and heart they traditionally haven’t. And some of us are doing our best to move in that direction. Creating spectacle films that are innovative, humane, and thoughtful is what excites me about this job.
But, to be fair, at least from Foster’s quotes, she seems to see filmmaking as something that’s primarily about her own personal growth. For me, that may be part of why I do this, but spending many millions of dollars on a film has to be about more than that – it’s communication – so my experience is merely one spoke on that wheel. But I respect Foster and what she’s done for films and I appreciate her different way of looking at Hollywood’s landscape.”

JAMES BOND---Denis Villeneuve (ARRIVAL) explained why he declined to direct a James Bond movie in favor of DUNE, “I would love to [direct Bond]. I said to [producer] Barbara [Broccoli], I would love to work with you and with Daniel, but I’m engaged."
He added, "When Legendary offered me to do DUNE on a silver plate? Which was like my dream project that I’m dreaming to do for 30 years? I said yes right away. I want to honor that. It doesn’t mean the movie will happen, maybe in six months the movie will – and Bond is an old fantasy of mine, but I can’t be in two places at the same time. It’s a strange year because I would love to do a James Bond. I need to focus.”

THE WALKING DEAD---executive producer David Alpert commented on the declining ratings, “I don’t think in any way the brand has lost its relevance in general, I think we’re just seeing a decline in urgency across all media to consume something at a specific time.”

CLEOPATRA---co-writer David Scarpa (ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD) commented on the Sony Pictures biomovie, "… instead of doing the movie as the prestige picture — the three-hour, lots of pageantry, people with fans and English accents and all that stuff — [we] really treat it as a political thriller. Dirty, bloody, lots of people swearing and having sex and all of that other stuff and just treat it as a two-hour, lean, mean political thriller, full of assassinations, etc. Just going the opposite direction from the way we think that movie is going to go.”

MAD ABOUT YOU---Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt are in talks to return for a Sony Pictures Television limited-run sequel series. It would focus on Paul and Jamie coping with empty-nest syndrome after their daughter, Mabel, goes to college. The original series ran on NBC from 1992-1999.

USS CALLISTER---director Toby Haynes said a spinoff of the Netflix BLACK MIRROR episode might be in the future, "'I was talking with Louise Sutton, who produced this and “Metalhead,” and she cooked up a brilliant idea of spinning it off into a TV series. I’d love to do a TV series of “USS Callister” — it’s probably one of the best pilots for a space show, ever. And I made it! So I’m keen to see it as a TV series. I think Charlie might revisit it as a Black Mirror. Whether I’m the one to do it, I don’t know. Being a fan of the show as much as I am, and being a part of making it, I’d love to work with that crew and cast again. It’s a gift for a director.'"

THE X-FILES---Gillian Anderson confirmed the upcoming Season 11 will be her last season.

WHITE FAMOUS---Showtime cancelled the series.

POSE---new FX/Ryan Murphy series dance musical about New York in the 1980s with the largest transgender cast assembled.

TRIVIA---before George Takei was the helmsman for the starship Enterprise in STAR TREK, he was the helmsman for the Japanese destroyer Amagiri that rammed John F. Kennedy's PT boat in the 1963 JFK biomovie PT 109.
The 1963 movie starred Cliff Robertson, who won the Best Actor Oscar for CHARLY, and later starred in BRAINSTORM and the SPIDER-MAN trilogy. PT 109 also featured Robert Blake, of The Little Rascals fame and BARETTA, who was later found liable in a civil case for the murder of his wife.
A new PT 109 movie is underway.

ALIEN---Ridley Scott commented on the future of the franchise, “There’s no reason why ALIEN should now not be on the same level for fans as STAR TREK and STAR WARS. So I think the next step as to where we go is, do we sustain the ALIEN (series) with the evolution of the beast or do we reinvent something else? I think you need to have an evolution on this famous beast because he’s the best monster ever, really.”
Scott also commented on why BLADE RUNNER 2049 was not a big success, “It’s slow. It’s slow. Long. Too long. I would have taken out half an hour."
He said he has never been approached to direct a STAR WARS movie because he is, "too dangerous".
Also, Neill Blomkamp confirmed his ALIEN 5 sequel, which was canceled to make way for COVENANT, is dead, "Yes. I have moved on. What I meant was that I wish there was a way for fans to see some of what we had designed. It was an amazing chance to work in the world Ridley and James Cameron created.
