Can anyone list what they have done to their (Sony Vaio - VGC-RA840G) pc?  I was

wondering what's the best Graphic cards from ATI that is compatible since they're a little

cheaper then Nvidia's cards.

A common upgrade path for older PC's are to increase their memory.  In your case from 1 to 2 GB's would be fine.  Graphics upgrades will depend on the power of your CPU and power supply, and that's where you just might have some issues.

Your older cpu might be a limiting factor in driving today's graphics cards, but the real problem might be your power supply (365 watts max) not being able to handle the power requirements.

If you want Crossfire, then you are talking about buying/building a new system.
