Hi, i  have a vgn fw290 and connected a HDMI to a sony xbr6 LCD and when in DVD there is no video but i have communication on PC, is there anything that i have to do in the laptop to be able to watch dvds.

Re check your cable conections again,  set your graphics card for HD resolution (e.g. 1440x900 / 1680x1050, etc.) and make sure your TV is set to the proper HDMI input.

ivtec,

Is your device driver current? Also, the VGN-FW290's user manual said that if it's not the one provided by Sony, image and audio may not be displayed.
