Greetings Sony enthusiasts:

There appears to be an issue associated with HDTV that deserves a closer look. One term for the issue is burn-in.

Essentially, it has to do with an "imprint" being burned-in to a TV screen from a fixed broadcast image like a logo or even letterbox.

I'm about to commit to a 4:3 KV36XBR800 and now am having second thoughts.

If I was to watch Gone with the Wind or The Godfather series back-to-back on DVD, is the letterboxing going to "burn-in" to the screen?
