Hello everyone, and thank you

Hello everyone, and thank you in advance for sharing all the valuable information, I am very glad to have joined this forum.

I have a Sony TV which a while back changed the lamp setting on the service menu, I have tried unplugging it and leaving it a whole day to see if it will reset, but no luck.  Have also replaced the lamp and assembly with a genuine sony part, as well as making sure the lamp assembly and cover are position securely, but still no luck I only get 6 green blinks and then it reverts to 3 red blinking lights.
I noticed that the light iluminates and the fan kicks in but only for a brief moment (1-2 sec).
Now I have read a post by a member nscot who managed to solve this problem by reseting the micro in the "C" board.
Could anyone please let me know where is this board situated, and if that micro is referred as a switch similar to the ones found near the lamp assembly.

The C board for the

by jehill » Thu Nov 07, 2013 7:18 am

The C board for the KDF50E2010 is a part of the OPTICS UNIT BLOCK (IRP) ASSY.  It's a horizontal board that appears to be positioned at the bottom of the assembly.  You will have to inspect it to se if there is some kind of switch to reset the microprocessor.  I don't see a switch in the Signal Flow (block) diagram.

Your post doesn't appear to be related to the subject of this thread, other than you may be having an issue with a KDF50E22010. Please describe your issue and indicate whether or not the model number of your set is KDF50E22010.
