Ahh! Good idea, I didn't

Ahh! Good idea, I didn't think of that. That's one more thing to try, that's for sure. But I'd rather have the TV speakers, which would probably be better at stereo effects and stuff, on the TV and DVD.. Guess I'll just go through the hassle of switching until I pick up a reciever. Shouldn't take me...

Are the steps usually in the manual? If you have either DVPN-S300 or 400, could you post the steps? If not, is there a lot involved with calibration or is it a pretty simple process to initiate?

I had considered buying one

I had considered buying one of those all in one things for only a second, but I changed my mind retty quickly. I wanted to have a separate DVD player and reciever at a later time, so one of those would have screwed my plans. No flexibility or add on room and stuff kinda looked limited. I was kinda l...

Oh, money's a concern, don't

Oh, money's a concern, don't worry. I've already decided on the TV/DVD player, with the rest coming at a later point as it's less important to me. The TV I'm getting is only the KV24FV12, 24inches is probably pretty small by most standards, but I want a Wega and I'm moving up from a 13 inch TV, so i...

Ahh, so it's just a menu option? I was under the impression that it was a complicated process to initiate it. That's good that it's just a menu item.

I'm trying to get it

I'm trying to get it for Christmas now. Hope it's not too early to ask. PLus Sony Canada has a sweet 'free gift' thing on right now that I want to get in on. Free "Over Canada" Aerial tour of Canada DVD, free Component or optcal cables, or a free Sony fleece blanket. I want the DVD or the blanket fo...

I asked the guy at

I asked the guy at The Sony Store (actually, more than just ONE works there...A guy I mean), and he, besides knowing what he was talking about, said that on a TV the size of the one I'm after, it won't make a difference, it's more for the XBRs and other big TVs like Rear Projections. He also said th...

-Can anyone tell me what this SVM is/does please, and why (according to the folks on audioreview.com) it should be disabled? I think I've heard it as 'scan' not 'scanning', but either way...

I've been reading more reviews on my future TV, and everyone of them whines about the thing being he...

I'm buying the KV24FV12. It's

I'm buying the KV24FV12. It's got S-Video, though. My DVD player will have component out, in a couple of years I might buy a new TV, which I assume will have component in. A 24 inch Wega will barely fit in the stand in my bedroom which took forever to find, and is only about a year old. It's only ab...
