Much as I had anticipated

Much as I had anticipated but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Thanks for the reply (and for the welcome)!

Another question, if I may. Is it possible to come out of the front channel pre-amp out (RCA) on the rear panel and feed that audio into one of the unused audio inputs on the ...

I've had a BDP-S560 for

I've had a BDP-S560 for about 2 years. In the last month or so almost every Blu-ray disc I put in will not play. (This includes Blu-ray discs that have recently loaded and played successfully.) Instead it appears to try to load but finally shows "invalid"on the front panel display Eve...

Thank you, sir. I had

Thank you, sir. I had that same "wonder what might happen" thought, too. I'm using the Zone 2 rear panel output to feed the power amp (which will soon have an equalizer in the line to compensate for the aforementioned tinny sound) for the whole-house speakers. I was hoping for an elegant way to get ...

I was afraid a "user

I was afraid a "user cleaning" wasn't going to be an option. Oh well. I live in Denton, TX so at least Laredo is still in Texas, albeit some 480 miles from Denton. I'll give them a call on Monday.

Thanks again!

The Zone 2 line level

The Zone 2 line level out is currently feeding the stand-alone (separate) power amplifier that powers the whole-house speaker system. This enables audio from any external audio source to be played throughout the house. In my case this includes, Verizon PVR, DVD and VHS. What I cannot do using this a...

Guess I'm out of luck

Guess I'm out of luck here too. I've had this unit for about a year and a half so am beyond the warranty period. In looking for a replacement unit I've looked at the S-580 but the review on CNET are less than stellar. Any other good replacements you can think of??

No, not yet. When I

No, not yet. When I started looking through my purchase records, I found that it had been longer than I remembered since I purchased the player. The purchase date turns out to be October 2009.
What the heck, I'll call them on Monday anyway. What's the worse they can tell me, no?

Mr. Hill, thank you sir,

Mr. Hill, thank you sir, you are appreciated! This device is exactly the solution to my problem. Using this device will enable me to route the Apple TV to any one of a number of unused inputs on the receiver and simultaneously send the signal to the Zone 2 output to feed the whole-house power amp/sp...

Mr. Hill, the device you

Mr. Hill, the device you sent the link on absolutely solved the audio problem as intended. I was able to route audio from the Apple TV box into my receiver and then throughout the entire house. When I attempted to watch a Netflix program on Apple TV I ran headlong into the law of unintended conseque...

And BTW, the tinny sound

And BTW, the tinny sound in “whole house system” was solved by inserting an equalizer between the Zone 2 RCA out on the receiver and the input to the power amp. I bought and Behringer FBQ800 MINI 9-BAND GRAPHIC EQ from B&H for $52, wired it in and it works like a charm! Seems part of the problem was...
