Mine did the same thing until I cleared it
Press the Main Power, AV power and master volume DOWN buttons simultaneously. Plus dont forget you need to press ALT in order to enter any of the numeric values.

It's for these reasons that I wish you could assign the optical inputs to ANY source. You can do this on some receivers, but none of the current Sony models (including ES) to the best of my knowlwdge
