Sony Television: [CES 2006] Sony Expands Market Leading Bravia Flat-Panel LCD Television Line
    Posted on Thursday, January 05, 2006 @ 01:35:27 EST
Sony Television Bravia LCD Looking to build upon its leadership position in the LCD-flat panel category, Sony Electronics today introduced seven high-definition BRAVIA models including five with integrated ATSC digital tuners.

The new products expand Sony's LCD flat-panel television line to include sizes ranging from 46 inches to 26 inches. The new S-series BRAVIA models also feature a new one chip digital processor for improved picture quality.

"With in weeks after our introduction of the BRAVIA line, we quickly claimed top market share in the flat panel market," Waynick said. "These new sets offer a variety of sizes with great performance to meet the needs of all consumers. And, from the great room and kitchen to bedroom or study, the style of these sets is designed to appeal to both men and women."

The new S-Series models - the 46-inch KDL-46S2000, the 40-inch KDL-40S2000, the 32-inch KDL-32S2000, and the 26-inch KDL-26S2000 - include an integrated ATSC digital tuner and feature 1,366 x 768 screen resolution. Sony's new one chip, full digital processor found in these new models reduces "block noise" around letters, such as on-screen graphics and subtitles and enhances contrast, producing crisp and vivid images. The chip also automatically adjusts greens and blues for truer and brighter colors.
